Energy Efficiency and Renewables

My experience and expertise is a cross-cut of the modern energy sector. Throughout my career I have worked within the wind power sector, marine energy, digital management consulting as well as building energy efficiency and demand response. My current interest is in development and implementation of highly scalable analytics and IoT in buildings to create improve lives of people and energy efficiency.

Data Analysis, Simulation and Optimisation

I am by heart a problem-solver with concrete skills in energy engineering, thermodynamics and optimisation. Advanced use of tools like Excel, VBA and Python for analytics are very familiar to me. In research and other projects I use Python for statistics, machine learning and optimisation. Together with using IoT solutions, I engineer solutions for monitoring and controls in buildings.

Impact and Projects

My active and engaging attitude make me an active team player. As a guy with a generalist mind set I have always been keen to make an impact. I have been managing or been part of grass-roots teams to complete projects of varying sizes. One example was organising a seated dinner for over a thousand people in an ice hockey arena and a graduation party for some 500 participants. I believe that through individual ownership and drive anything is possible when individuals or groups set their minds on it.
